Introduction

Same-day from Kling AI (2026-11-04 ~15:00 UTC): Kling 4.0 Flash is now fully available to everyone on the Kling website and via API. The same announcement also points creators at MCP, CLI, and AI plugins — including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects — so Flash sits inside the tools you already use, not only inside a single web tab.

This is a different ship from the October 15 “Kling 4.0 fully available” wave. Back then Flash was Ultra early access and the public API story was still “coming soon.” Today Flash graduates to open web + documented API paths.

What shipped

Vendor claim (official X post):

  • Website: Kling 4.0 Flash available to everyone at kling.ai / app.klingai.com
  • API: Flash callable through the developer API (see paths below)
  • MCP + CLI: same automation lane as the broader Kling 4.0 stack
  • Plugins: Kling plugins for Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects for in-app video generation

Official API changelog (2026-11-04) confirms the Flash API drop with concrete request paths and caps:

  • Native video 3–20 seconds at 720P
  • Modes: text-to-video, image-to-video, and Omni reference-to-video
  • Request paths:
    • /text-to-video/kling-4.0-flash
    • /image-to-video/kling-4.0-flash
    • /omni-video/kling-4.0-flash
  • Image-to-video: single first-frame image
  • Duration and aspect ratio via parameters or prompts (including 21:9 and adaptive)
  • Prompts up to 26,000 English characters; up to 10 reference images; up to 5 reference videos
  • Omni reference: combine images, videos, and elements; up to 15 inputs per task
  • Billing by total duration (input video duration + output duration — see Kling’s pricing page)

How it differs from full Kling 4.0

Keep the two models straight when you pick a lane:

  • Kling 4.0 (full): up to 30s, 720P / 1080P, paths like /text-to-video/kling-4.0 (API fully available since late October)
  • Kling 4.0 Flash: up to 20s, 720P, paths ending in kling-4.0-flash — the speed / cost-lean sibling that just left Ultra early access

If you need longer clips or 1080P in one shot, stay on full 4.0. If you want the Flash turnaround for drafts, batch tests, or plugin-side ideation, today’s open gate is the news.

Where to try it

  1. Web: open kling.ai or app.klingai.com and select Kling 4.0 Flash
  2. API: follow Kling’s API Updates for the Flash paths above — do not invent base hosts beyond what your account’s developer console shows
  3. MCP / CLI: reuse the existing Kling MCP / CLI connector flow (account OAuth / kling CLI) and choose the Flash model when your tools list it
  4. Adobe: install the Kling plugins for Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or After Effects from Kling’s plugin surfaces and generate from inside the host app

Exact credit rates, plan gates, and plugin installers live on Kling’s own pricing / plugin pages — check those before you budget a large batch.

Why it matters

Flash was the model everyone asked for after the Ultra tease: same family motion language, lighter access story. Opening the website and the documented API on the same day means freelancers, agents, and pipeline engineers can share one model name instead of “web Flash vs API Coming Soon.” Pair that with MCP/CLI and Adobe plugins and Flash becomes a first-class citizen across browser, terminal, assistant, and NLE.

Caveats

  • Flash caps at 20s / 720P in the API note — do not assume 1080P or 30s from Flash
  • Plugin availability can still depend on region, plan, or Adobe host version; verify inside your Adobe apps
  • ArtRealmAI Gen does not host Kling — run Flash on Kling’s surfaces or through their API / plugins
  • Distinct from our earlier Oct 15 piece on full Kling 4.0 MCP/CLI availability

Conclusion

If you have been waiting for Flash outside Ultra early access, today is the open gate: website, API paths, MCP/CLI, and Adobe plugins. Pick Flash for fast 720P loops, keep full Kling 4.0 for longer / higher-res masters, and let the same prompt family travel across both.
