Kling 4.0 Fully Available on App, MCP & CLI

Introduction
September 28 was the gated start: Kling 4.0 Flash early access for Ultra Yearly, with the fuller stack promised for October. Today @Kling_ai says that gate is open — KLING 4.0 Is Now Fully Available on a refreshed creation interface at kling.ai, and through MCP and CLI for workflow flexibility.
That is a creator-surface open, not a blank check that every marketing bullet is live everywhere. Read the Coming Soon list carefully, and treat the feature page as laggy until your own seat shows the model and tier you intend to burn credits on.
What’s Live Starting Today
Per the Oct 15 vendor post, two access paths are on:
- Refreshed creator UI on kling.ai — generate Kling 4.0 through the upgraded creation interface
- MCP and CLI — same model family, aimed at agentic and batch video workflows instead of only the web studio
Homepage marketing still leads with All-New Kling 4.0 and an MCP/CLI pitch for batch generation. That matches the dispatch. It does not mean every listed capability is GA on every surface.
MCP and CLI (Official Endpoints Only)
For international accounts on kling.ai, Kling’s own docs point MCP clients at:
- MCP endpoint:
https://kling.ai/mcp - Setup guide: Kling MCP & CLI Guide
- Workflow walkthrough: MCP cinematic performance blog
On an official Kling blog for Claude Code, the remote HTTP connector setup is:
claude mcp add --transport http klingai --scope user https://kling.ai/mcpThen run /mcp in Claude Code, complete Kling OAuth, and confirm tools before you submit credit-consuming jobs. Project-scoped installs use --scope project. For other MCP clients, add the same https://kling.ai/mcp endpoint and follow the MCP & CLI Guide — do not invent package names or install lines that are not on those pages. Available tools and models can change per connection; list exposed Kling tools before mapping storyboards to generation tasks.
Coming Soon (Still Not Live)
The same Oct 15 post keeps two items explicitly under Coming Soon:
- 10-bit HDR video output at 4K and 1080p resolutions
- API access for enterprise customers and developers
So “up to 4K” marketing chatter is not the same as shipping 10-bit HDR masters today, and there is still no public/enterprise 4.0 API to wire into production pipelines. If you ship via API, stay on whatever the current API docs expose until Kling publishes 4.0 endpoints.
4.0 Headline Specs (Sep 28 Context)
As a capability recap from the Sep 28 vendor release (not a new Oct 15 rate card), Kling 4.0’s creator pitch still centers on:
- Native 30-second generation
- Up to 15 Omni multi-modal references
- Multi-keyframe control up to 10 keyframes
- High-quality stereo audio with more accurate lip sync
- Video extension, plus multi-language / accent / dialect audio lanes
Confirm each control in the app or MCP tool schema for your account — marketing pages can trail the live selector.
How to Run It Without Getting Fooled by Lag
- Sign in at kling.ai and open the refreshed Generate / Omni creation flow.
- Select Kling 4.0 (or the 4.0 path your seat actually lists) before you queue a long render.
- For agents: connect MCP to
https://kling.ai/mcp, authorize, then verify models via the live tool list. - Do not assume HDR output or a developer API from homepage copy — those are still Coming Soon per Kling’s own Oct 15 wording.
- Credits still meter the usual Kling way; use the on-site quote before you burn a full 30s Omni stack.

Conclusion
October’s promise landed as a full-availability day for the creator UI plus MCP/CLI — not as HDR masters or a public 4.0 API. If you were waiting behind the Ultra Flash gate, go confirm 4.0 in-app (or over MCP) and start calling the shots. If you need 10-bit HDR delivery or enterprise API hooks, keep them on the watchlist until Kling moves those Coming Soon lines.
