MiniMax H3 Max Editing Lands in ComfyUI

Introduction
ComfyUI’s v0.44.0 changelog (2026-11-04) calls out a whole MiniMax H3 Max editing lane that is easy to miss next to Wonder 4 and Pika Flex: six partner nodes for rewriting cast, lengthening clips, changing aspect, inserting shots, lip-syncing new audio, and steering camera — without leaving the graph.
If you already generate on H3 Max, these are the post-generate tools that keep the same model family in the edit pass.
What shipped
From the ComfyUI changelog and partner-node PR #17424:
- Surface: ComfyUI partner (API) nodes — closed MiniMax H3 Max endpoints, not local open weights
- Release window: highlighted in v0.44.0 on 2026-11-04 (PR merged into the partner-node tree ahead of the tagged release)
- Display names in-graph:
- MiniMax H3 Max Recast
- MiniMax H3 Max Extend Video
- MiniMax H3 Max Reframe Video
- MiniMax H3 Max Insert Video
- MiniMax H3 Max Lip Sync
- MiniMax H3 Max Camera Control
Changelog intent, in plain language:
- Recast — rewrite who / what appears in a clip
- Extend — lengthen a finished shot
- Reframe — fit a clip to a new aspect ratio
- Insert — drop a new shot into a sequence
- Lip Sync — sync mouths to new audio
- Camera Control — steer camera motion on the H3 Max stack
This is a different story from the same-day Pika H3 Flex + soundtrack partner nodes — same Comfy release train, different vendor and edit grammar.
Where to run it today
- Update ComfyUI to v0.44.0+ (Desktop / portable / git)
- Sign in to Comfy’s partner-node / Cloud account so MiniMax API nodes resolve
- Search the node menu for MiniMax H3 Max Recast (or Extend / Reframe / Insert / Lip Sync / Camera Control)
- Feed a prior H3 Max (or compatible) video output into the edit node you need, then save with the usual Save Video / ProRes paths from v0.44
Exact credit rates live on Comfy’s partner pricing pages — check those before you batch long Recast / Extend runs.
Why it matters
Generation without edit nodes means bouncing through a second app for every cast change, aspect fix, or ADR pass. Parking Recast → Lip Sync → Camera Control next to the H3 Max generate nodes keeps iteration inside one graph — and matches how editors actually work after the first hero clip lands.
Caveats
- These are API partner nodes — you need network access, credits, and an enabled MiniMax / Comfy partner session
- Do not confuse them with local MiniMax-H3 open-weight sampling (P-H3-Image, Sol-H3-VAE, context windows, etc. in the same v0.44 open-source section)
- Distinct from our earlier Pika H3 Flex / soundtrack partner-node piece and from Kling 4.0 Flash GA
- Region / plan gates can hide individual edit nodes; if a name is missing, confirm partner login and update frontend + templates

Conclusion
v0.44.0 is not only Wonder 4 and Pika audio — it is also a full MiniMax H3 Max editing rack inside Comfy. Update, sign in, and put Recast / Extend / Reframe / Insert / Lip Sync / Camera Control on the same canvas as your H3 Max generates.
