Introduction

Prompt-shy founders, this one's for you. On Nov 2 (17:46 UTC), Recraft announced that Recraft Logo Maker is live. It's a guided image-gen flow that skips the prompt box: you answer a few questions about your business, pick a designer-curated style, and get four logo directions you can refine, preview on real products, and export as a vector SVG.

It's a closed, credit-based product inside Recraft. It runs in public beta at recraft.ai/logo in desktop and phone browsers, but it isn't in the Recraft mobile app yet.

How the flow works

  • Tell it about the business. Enter a brand name and short description, choose the logo type, and pick the traits it should carry. No prompt writing required.
  • Pick a style. There are 24 logo styles curated by Recraft designers, or you can upload your own reference images.
  • Review four directions. Logo Maker generates four deliberately different concepts and chooses the most suitable model for each one, so you're not just seeing four seeds of the same idea.
  • Refine your favorite. Change colors, edit it, request variations, regenerate all four, or switch styles.
  • See it at work. Preview the logo on dozens of mockup scenes like packaging, apparel, business cards and signage. Mockups apply instantly and cost no credits.
  • Export. Download the final logo as an SVG, ready to scale from favicon to shopfront.

Where to open it

  • Go straight to recraft.ai/logo.
  • Open the Logo tab in the left sidebar of the Recraft home page.
  • Use the Logo Maker link on the Recraft Studio canvas.
  • Or start from Recraft's AI logo generator page.

Credits and control

  • Generating and editing logos uses Recraft credits. The total depends on how many rounds and edits you make. Mockup previews are free.
  • Want full control instead? The Recraft Studio canvas still lets you prompt logos directly with vector styles like Geometric Logo, Sharp Drawn Logo or Playful Typographic. Put any wordmark text in quotation marks.
  • Check Recraft's commercial rights and ownership page before you print anything. Usage terms depend on your plan.

A quick brief to have ready

Logo Maker asks the questions, but you'll get sharper directions if you know your answers before you open it:

  • Brand name, spelled exactly as it should appear.
  • One-line description, e.g. "small-batch oat milk roastery in a seaside town".
  • Logo type: icon plus wordmark, wordmark only, or emblem.
  • Three traits, e.g. warm, handmade, confident.
  • Where it'll live first: cups and tote bags, an app icon, or a storefront sign.

Conclusion

The hardest part of a logo was never the pixels. It's knowing what to ask for. Recraft turns that into a short interview, shows you four honest options on real cups and signs for free, and hands you a vector file at the end. Bring a clear brief and a little taste, and your brand can have a face by lunch. ✏️✨
