Introduction

Reshoot 4D 0.1 is out today from itsmetamike — the ComfyUI pack that turns a single-person video into a 4D capture and lets you redraw the camera path. The big shift in this release is not a new generator: LTX 2.3 still paints every final frame locally on open weights. It is how you finish the shot. Version 0.1.0 (this morning) adds per-key Camera FX — aperture, focus, vignette, grain, and lens character — plus camera file import from Blender (.fbx / .abc / .usd). Follow-up 0.1.1 (afternoon) makes camera-only tweaks reuse a finished render so Retake and the Photoreal Pass stay idle. The author clocked that path at about 3 minutes instead of ~35 on an RTX 3090.

What 0.1 actually ships

We covered the original Capture → Virtual Camera → Retake → Photoreal Pass line on October 30. 0.1 extends that line without asking you to relearn it:

  • Camera FX — apply zoom, focus, aperture (depth of field), vignette, and grain to finished frames. Rack focus and shallow DOF can land after the expensive LTX pass.
  • Camera files — import a crane or orbit from Blender as .fbx, .abc, or .usd; the move starts on the estimated source camera at approximate real scale (1.7 m person assumption), carrying lens, roll, focus, and aperture.
  • Dolly zoom — pull the camera back while the lens zooms in (README showcase hits 100 mm) so the subject holds size while the background swells.
  • Finish — optional RIFE in-betweens to 24–60 fps, shutter-angle motion blur, resize to 1080p / 1440p / 4K, and source audio.
  • 0.1.1 reuse — changing aperture, focus, vignette, grain, lens character, shutter, or a lens inside the move’s widest FOV no longer re-triggers Retake + Photoreal Pass; only Camera FX and Finish do new work.

Still local, still open weights, still no API keys or partner nodes. Nodes live under Reshoot 4D after install.

Install snippet

cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/itsmetamike/reshoot-4d.git
git clone https://github.com/cseti007/ComfyUI-CrossViewWarp.git && git -C ComfyUI-CrossViewWarp checkout 3266a83a84eaa6833a9ebc38ac7cdd8789e44f5b
bash reshoot-4d/scripts/install_redirector.sh

Then follow the repo’s Install doc for Capture environments and models, restart ComfyUI, and load workflows/Reshoot 4D.json. Optional: Blender for camera files, and ComfyUI-Frame-Interpolation for Finish’s frame-rate path.

Why it matters

Reshoot’s pitch was always “move the camera after the shoot.” 0.1 makes the lens part of that promise. Aperture pulls and imported crane moves used to mean another full LTX cycle; now the heavy render can stay cached while you dial DOF and grain. If you already cloned the pack last week, pull main today — 0.1.0 + 0.1.1 are the commits you want.
