Introduction

Krea has shipped Ad Studio, a new image-generation tool on krea.ai powered by what the company calls the first Krea 3 Expert: a version of its Krea 3 image model tuned to be very good at one job, which here is static ads. You paste your website, Ad Studio builds a brand kit and product catalog from it, and Krea 3 turns that kit into batches of finished ads. It's live today at krea.ai/ad-studio on paid plans and also works through Krea's MCP server in Claude.

This is the Krea 3 expert the team has been teasing. If you missed the base model, our earlier coverage of the public Krea 3 API and Ultra thinking mode and the Krea 3 ComfyUI partner nodes covers the engine under the hood.

What a "Krea 3 Expert" Is

Krea's launch post describes an Expert as "a version of Krea 3 that is very good at one job," and says more Experts are on the way. Ad Studio is the first. Krea hasn't published a separate model card, benchmark, or API endpoint for the Expert itself. As far as we can see, it lives inside the Ad Studio product rather than as a model ID you can call directly. Whether Experts are separate fine-tunes, a prompting harness around Krea 3, or both is unknown for now.

Your Website Is the Brief

The workflow is short:

  • Paste a domain. Ad Studio researches the site and builds a brand kit with logo, colors, fonts, description, tone of voice, audience, and selling points.
  • Products come along too. It finds products with photos and prices. For Shopify stores, it reads the product catalog directly.
  • Everything stays editable. You can fix a color, delete an expired promo, or rewrite a selling point. Ads follow the kit, so the claims on your ads are the ones you approved.
  • No website? You can set up a brand by hand and add products by link, upload, or manual entry. A kit holds up to 20 products.

On consistency, Krea says Ad Studio passes the brand kit to Krea 3 on every ad, so "the product stays the product, down to the label," and the copy comes from your selling points. In the launch demo, the tool read the DAVID protein bar site and pulled its serif wordmark, black-and-white palette, tagline, and claims like 28g protein and 0g sugar, and those claims became the headlines.

Placements, Batches and Creative Direction

You choose where ads will run, and each placement sets the sizes:

  • Instagram feed: 4:5 and 1:1
  • Stories and Reels: 9:16
  • Landscape feed: 16:9

Then you pick products and how many ads you want for each, up to 12 ads per batch. Each ad features one product with its own layout and copy. Creative direction can be left to Krea, or you can ask for a product spotlight, product-in-the-real-world, editorial, or "why it works" explainer style. Need another size? You can ask the Agent to resize any ad.

Iterate by Asking, Ship as a ZIP

Finished ads open in a gallery next to Krea Agent, which keeps your brand kit and campaign in context. You can ask for a new headline, a darker background, a different product, or another size, and it regenerates with Krea 3. You can preview ads in Facebook, Instagram, or Reels mockups, then download a single ad or the whole campaign as a ZIP.

Krea's own timed run on a real store: the brand kit was ready in 49 seconds, six Story ads took 2 minutes 28 seconds, and the whole trip from pasting the URL to downloading ads took about five minutes.

In the launch replies, @krea_ai answered "yes" to questions about Shopify product pages and non-English ad copy, "yes" to pulling custom fonts and brand hex colors, and "yes :)" to adapting copy tone to a brand's voice. It also described the output as "full product campaigns." Those are short social replies, not documentation, so test your own language and brand before you rely on them.

Pricing and Access

  • Where: krea.ai/ad-studio, plus the Krea MCP server (for example, inside Claude).
  • Plans: Krea's blog says Ad Studio is on "every paid plan, from Basic up."
  • Free parts: Brand research and product import are free. Ad generation uses compute units like other Krea 3 generations.
  • "Free" in the X post: The launch post says "try it now for free." Based on the blog, that most likely means the free brand-kit step. Whether free-plan accounts can generate any ads (for example, with the 9 free Krea 3 images Krea added to every plan on Oct 26) is unconfirmed.
  • API: There's no dedicated Ad Studio REST endpoint in Krea's docs or changelog yet. MCP access is stated in the blog. Per-ad pricing in compute units is not published.
  • Video ads: Ad Studio makes static ads only. For motion, Krea points to its separate Ad Multiplier skill in Agent, and our Krea for Premiere Pro coverage covers the video-timeline side.

Conclusion

Ad Studio is a smart first Expert: it skips the briefing step and treats your website as the brief, then leans on Krea 3's product-faithful editing so the label you sell is the label in the ad. The open questions are how "Expert" models are built, whether they'll get their own API IDs, and what a batch of 12 ads actually costs in compute. If you run a small store, though, five minutes from URL to ZIP is hard to argue with. Paste your domain, check the kit, and edit those selling points before you hit generate.
